Halloween Movie: Vampyr 1932

Howdy y'all.  Sorry for the belatedness of this posting. I know Halloween is over but I was literally moving all night! To a new apartment downtown, yay no more sharing with a bunch of boors! Now however, I kind of temporarily lost my job, but not necessarily...long story...I'll figure it out.  I love Halloween. Here is a film made in 1932 released in Germany and France, but it was not well received. I posted this on Bond's old channel a while back. The director had to go to a mental hospital in France after the negative feedback, but in modern times it has had better reviews.

It's a slow film, but it has an eerie atmosphere. For anyone interested I am posting it here:

The film was written by Dreyer and Christen Jul based on elements from J. Sheridan Le Fanu's 1872 collection of supernatural stories In a Glass DarklyVampyr was funded by Nicolas de Gunzburg who starred in the film under the name of Julian West among a mostly non-professional cast. Gunzburg plays the role of Allan Gray, a student of the occult who enters the village of Courtempierre, which is under the curse of a vampire.
