Violent and Destructive Student Behavior Getting Worse Teacher Misery - Aug 26 By Jane Morris Violent and destructive student behavior continues to get worse in schools across the nation, and current consequences do not seem to be stopping the behavior. Can schools and districts properly handle outrageous behavior before things become out of control? Restorative Justice in Schools In 2018, I wrote about the alarming lack of consequences for violent and destructive behavior in my book More Teacher Misery. Schools across the U.S. were adopting a new way of handling student behavioral issues called “restorative justice” due to student behavior getting worse. Rather than punish a student through suspension, restorative justice in schools asks the misbehaving student to reflect on his or her behavior, take responsibility, and resolve to do better in the future. This process often involves students and teachers sitting in a “restorative circle,” in which the guilty student listens to the v

People with similar faces have similar DNA, study reveals Shivali Best For Mailonline - Aug 23 F rom  Amy Adams  and Isla Fisher to Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes, many celebrities are regularly mistaken for one another, despite being unrelated. Now, a study has revealed that these famous faces don't just look alike – they also likely have very similar DNA. Researchers from the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute in Barcelona have revealed that strong facial similarity is associated with shared genetic variants. 'These results will have future implications in forensic medicine - reconstructing the criminal's face from DNA - and in genetic diagnosis - the photo of the patient's face will already give you clues as to which genome he or she has,' said Dr Manel Esteller, senior author of the study.  This is something that I've known for a long time. It's what was called physiognomy the study of how your personality and character relates to your face. It has been "discredited" by the mainstream, but since evolutionary thinking has reappeared in psychology it has made a comeback. It's also something that people do to one extent or another. Well now there are genetic studies that show that people who look similar, even though not directly related are actually similar in terms of personality, behaviour and so on. Once again lending more evidence that people's personalities can be gathered to an extent from their appearance.  From CNN:  https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/25/health/doppelganger-dna-study-wellness/index.html You have a doppelganger and probably share DNA with them, new study suggests (I probably don't have one though, I'm a rare breed) (CNN) Sometimes when Charlie Chasen or Michael Malone would be out and about on their own in Atlanta, people
