A Short Trip Through German Switzerland

Zurich | History, Economy, & Points of Interest | Britannica

Hello all, I've been meaning to post some of my observation from the countries I've travelled to when I went to Europe in the last few months. This time I managed to go to Switzerland for a few days and man was it ever expensive!

Coming from France I can say it was quite a large difference. I only visited the German speaking part of Switzerland so can only speak of that, i.e. Zurich, Basel, etc. I was only there for a few days.

Immediately noticeable in my opinion, is the relatively high wealth of the place. Switzerland seemed far more beautiful and well-maintained than France. Although the cities are smaller than the large ones in France, almost everything I saw was in good order, and quite beautiful architecturally, and in terms of nature.

Demographically, the situation appeared a lot better than France as well. Whereas I would see tons on Negroes, and Arabs, and Berbers in France, I saw very few Negroes in Switzerland, and less Arabs as well. As you can well imagine Zurich also had its tourists, and there was some race mixing going on as well, but not anywhere nearly as bad as what I saw in France. Switzerland has a much tighter immigration policy, and had no colonies. They are select on who they let in, however people from the EU can live and work there. However, for them it is hard to get employed in top jobs, as Switzerland has a hire Swiss first kind of policy. Still there were some Indians, Southeast Asians, etc. Every single one of them just came there from another part of Europe, or as refugees and only for the money and high quality of life. All of that "racist" White stuff is nonsense, they know they have the highest quality of life living around "racist" Whites. In my opinion none of them deserve to be there, they are economic migrants and nothing else.

The costs there are very high, even hostels can cost $100 a night on the weekend in Zurich. It may be a good idea to go to other areas, or check out local Air BnBs. However, they pay high wages.

When I was there I saw schools of children, some of them were almost completely White! Whereas in Canada in Montreal or Toronto, you'd hardly ever see much White schoolchildren.

Basel was a beautiful town on the French border, the old town was remarkable, with some stunning views and extremely good maintenance. There was also a cool modern mechanical fountain near the theatre or concert hall.

I did tons of hiking along the road between towns, it took hours, with my heavy backpack and in the rain, but the views were beautiful and I was very careful. One of the hostels I stayed in was near some crazy rock concert and they came in screaming and banging at 3 am in the morning. It was quite an adventure.

Switzerland seems like one of the best places to live in Western Europe not just for demographics but quality of life. Even minimum wage workers make something like $4000 USD a month. They have more of a direct democracy there, so if they vote against immigration it sticks. No need to put faith in people like Biden or Trump to do something at the border. Also, they have free speech and gun rights laws. For me Switzerland is a distant dream, maybe I can move there one day XD.

PS: I haven't travelled to a lot of places but it might be better going to places like Bern, Interlaken, etc., than Zurich though, it seems there's more to do there.

Oh and Switzerland was the place where a few cute girls checked me out... another reason to move there XD.
